Nicotine in your veins

You like the way, your hands look,
Holding the poison stick,
Did you realise how they shook?

You tell me you’re not addicted,
That you will leave it soon,
But I know that’s how
deep you’re afflicted.

Did you think I didn’t know,
How you tried to hide,
You thought it didn’t show?

You’re just headed for a slow decline,
I wish I could stop you,
And I wish you would accept it,
Because you’re mine.

Dedicated to all those people who smoke, from your loved ones.
